Lisa Roddy is a Registered Nurse with more than 30 years of clinical and operational nursing experience across pediatric and complex care environments. She joined the Department of Biomedical Informatics (DBMI) in March 2023 as a Nurse Informatics Data Analyst, bringing extensive frontline, case management, and systems-level expertise to her informatics role.

Lisa began her nursing career in 1994 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. In 2002, she joined Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, where she built a broad clinical foundation caring for infants and toddlers in the Pediatric Medicine Unit before transitioning to the Float Pool. Her career evolved to include Pediatric Nephrology Case Management, where she supported medically complex patients and families, and later the role of Transfer Nurse in the Throughput Center, coordinating patient movement and optimizing system flow across the enterprise. These experiences cultivated her passion for using data, improving workflows, and clinical systems to improve patient care.

Lisa earned her Master of Science in Nursing Informatics (MSN) from Vanderbilt University in August 2023 and completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in May 2025 at Vanderbilt University. In her current role at DBMI, she works on clinical data analytics, research projects, and informatics solutions that turn real-world clinical insight into practical data strategies.
