Research Interests:
The explosion of single-cell transcriptional data has provided a unique and deep view into cell states across health and disease. My work focuses on transcriptomic data analysis at three levels of scale: (1) biological interpretation of in vitro experiments and patient tissue, aimed at generating mechanistic hypotheses for follow up studies, (2) medium-scale in vitro experiments, poised to elucidate underlying cellular logic and responses to perturbation (e.g. pharmaceutics), and (3) population-wide transcriptomic databases (hundreds of patients), geared at understanding how genetic variants can influence cell states and related disease phenotypes.
