Allison McCoy, PhD, FAMIA, Assistant Professor in DBMI, was featured in the new Women in American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) monthly newsletter. She is a co-chair of the Pipeline steering committee, which aims to identify opportunities to expose underrepresented and undergraduate girls and women to informatics and increase mentorship opportunities for participants in the AMIA First Look Program. The Pipeline sub-committee also works with other volunteer groups in AMIA with the goal to increase the number of women in AMIA and retain them in the early stages of their career development.
Dr. McCoy co-chairs the Pipeline steering committee with Karmen Williams, DrPh, MBA, MSPH, MA, CPH, Adjunct Assistant Professor at the City University of New York.
